Story Thyme Etiquette Policy

Welcome to Story Thyme! To keep this community creative, respectful, and safe for all ages, we ask every user to agree to the following etiquette and content standards before publishing stories or uploading assets.
1. Respect the Community
Story Thyme is a shared space. Whether you're a writer, artist, or reader:
- Treat others with kindness and empathy.
- Give thoughtful, constructive feedback when appropriate.
- Avoid personal conflicts or inappropriate behavior.
- Report concerns to contact@storythyme.org or on our Discord channel.
- Respect cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and identities.
2. Rate Your Story Honestly
All stories must be labeled with the appropriate content rating so readers know what to expect. Mislabeling can put young readers at risk and may result in content removal.
By publishing on Story Thyme, you agree to:
- Choose the correct rating for your story.
- Use the Mature rating for stories with strong language, violence, trauma, or sexual themes (within platform limits).
- Select AI-Generated, AI-Assisted, or Human-Made correctly for uploaded assets. Read our AI Guidelines here.
- Never hide adult content under an incorrect rating.
Reminder: Stories with false or misleading ratings may be re-rated or removed. Repeat offenses may lead to account suspension.
3. Prohibited Content and Behavior
The following is not allowed on Story Thyme, regardless of rating:
- Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
- Explicit sexual content, especially involving minors
- Pornographic or exploitative content
- Glorification of self-harm, abuse, or violence
- Uploading copyrighted material you don’t own or have permission to use
4. When in Doubt, Ask
If you're unsure about how to rate your story or whether it fits within our platform:
- Review the Rating Guidelines
- Contact our moderation team for help
- When in doubt, play it safe and choose the stricter option

By using Story Thyme, you agree to:
- Follow the etiquette outlined above
- Accurately label all stories and assets
- Treat all fellow users with respect
- Help keep Story Thyme a safe and creative space for everyone
